Snow Day

It's a snow day! We've been blanketed with several inches of snow today. There's a buried car right in the front of the photo. Schools are out and kids are very happy. With less than three weeks to the spring equinox here in the northeast, there is no sign of spring. There is no spring in the air, not yet. However, I'm eagerly waiting for this cold and freezing weather to be over. Snow is beautiful but we've had enough already. It's time for the refreshing spring breeze to gently move across the fields.

There's a bird bath underneath that pile of snow, which has been frozen all winter.

Our backyard looks better and more serene with snow covered ground...perhaps because it covers the brown and yellow grass.
